Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the HANSTLER website (hanstler.com) and the Xtudio-1 application (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Hanstler (Cesar Zumbado), based in Costa Rica (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

Xtudio-1 is a desktop application that helps creators and DJs turn their own videos into short vertical clips. It runs its video and audio editing locally on your computer. It also offers an optional AI-video feature (“X-Video”) that generates short clips from a text description, and an optional feature to publish content to third-party platforms (such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Mixcloud and SoundCloud) using their official APIs, with your explicit authorization.

2. Licenses, Credits and Payments

• License. A paid license unlocks Xtudio-1’s local editing features for your personal use. Your license key identifies your entitlement; keep it private. Sharing, reselling, or distributing license keys is not permitted.
• X-Video credits. AI-video generation is powered by paid third-party AI providers and is billed as credits. One credit allows one AI-video generation. Credits are added to your license after purchase and do not expire.
• Payments. Purchases are processed by PayPal. We do not receive or store your full card details. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and may change over time.
• Consumption. A credit is consumed when a generation is successfully produced. If a generation fails for a technical reason on our side, the credit is automatically returned to your balance.

3. Refunds

Because licenses unlock digital software immediately and credits enable paid third-party AI usage, all sales are final except where required by law. If you were charged in error, a purchase failed to deliver, or you experienced a technical problem we cannot resolve, contact us within 14 days at booking@hanstler.com and we will review your case in good faith. Credits already consumed to generate content are non-refundable.

4. AI-Generated Content (X-Video)

• How it works. Your text prompt (and any reference image you provide) is sent through our secure backend to third-party AI providers (currently Google Gemini and/or Microsoft Azure OpenAI) which render the video.
• Ownership. As between you and us, you own the clips you generate, subject to the AI providers’ terms. You are responsible for how you use them.
• Prohibited prompts. You must not generate content that depicts real, identifiable people without consent, infringes trademarks or copyrights, or is illegal, hateful, sexual, or harmful. The app includes a prompt-safety check, but you remain responsible for your prompts and outputs.
• Provider watermarks. AI outputs may include an invisible provider watermark (e.g., Google SynthID) identifying the content as AI-generated. You must not attempt to remove it.
• No guarantee. AI output is probabilistic. We do not guarantee that any specific prompt will produce a particular result.

5. Your Content and Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the content you upload, process, and publish through the Service. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights and licenses to all audio, video, artwork, and other material you use, including any music and third-party recordings. You must not use the Service to infringe intellectual property rights or to publish unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.

6. Third-Party Platforms

When you connect a social account, you authorize the Service to publish content on your behalf using that platform’s official API. Connections are made through each platform’s official OAuth login — the Service never asks for your social media passwords. Your use of each platform is also governed by that platform’s own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, behavior, or policy changes of third-party platforms. You may revoke access at any time from within Xtudio-1 or from the platform’s own settings.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to bypass platform or credit limits, tamper with the license or backend, spam, upload malware, or use the Service for any illegal purpose.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including content removed or accounts restricted by third-party platforms, or results produced by AI providers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
